Who says you can’t bring Tuscany home? Well, they obviously haven’t talked to Patrice aka “Tefnut” (pronounced: “Tef-noot), yet! It’s easy! You can bring Tuscany home by incorporating Tuscan bathroom wall décor!
When I say Tuscan wall décor, I’m not ONLY talking about art. Man… I’m talkin’ ‘bout decorative shelving– candleholders and sconces– towel holders. You have to dress it up! Tuscany style décor is so far from “basic”. It has embellishing style and charm.
You can totally get away in a Tuscan style bathroom by adding shelving with ornate wrought iron scrollwork. How about matching wrought iron sconces to hold candles with little dancing flames, to create a nice mood that harmonizes with the color selection on the walls? Think it, dream it, create it! Remember that.
What looks absolutely incredible is the incorporation of exposed brick– “imperfect” walls, and open piping (for example, what is pictured above). LOVE. THIS. LOOK.
I am a woman who finds “balance” to be important. The bathroom in the image is extremely rustic/ industrial… but I can still feel the elegance when I look at the sleek black pipes, the soft lighting and the balanced look of the concrete counter top coupled with the wooden framed mirror.
I do also love the idea of having a bathroom window with dark Tuscan shutters. You can dress up your Tuscan bathroom window with an adorable wrought iron plant box to hold greenery. It’s literally bringing the outside in. That’s what Tuscan style is about. Do to your windows the way that you envision the outside of a country style villa.
And, oh! Oh, oh, oh!!! My favorite! What do you think about a Tuscan style wall fountain? My goodness, how your friends will envy you! If you want it get it! Again, think it, dream it, create it! There are wall fountains that you can purchase. And guess what? You can get them inexpensively! Think not? Let’s just say that I recently saw one on eBay for a starting bid of $19.95… I truly did.
And yes, of course… How about some rich Tuscan colors, so vibrant that they are pretty much falling out of the canvas? Tuscan artwork. Perhaps the piece that inspired your Tuscan bathroom color scheme? Maybe… There are extremely talented Artists that create amazing masterpieces. You can find them at particular art galleries, and from Artists’ websites. If you cannot afford to purchase authentic Tuscan art, you can go to places like Amazon and all sorts of poster companies to purchase prints. It’s the colors that you need to pop, not your wallet! Tuscan art prints look great in decorative frames. Gold in color would be exquisite!
